About Dearborn Company

Bi-weekly D&D Adventures

Dungeons & Dragons is the number one role-playing game in history. It’s a collaborative adventure that everyone around the table becomes a part of, set in a fantasy world of magic and mythical creatures.

These are one-shot adventures that last no more than 4 hours, so missing a session will not impact anyone’s enjoyment of the game, and are perfect for both beginners and experienced players alike.

We have a maximum number of 18 players per session (3 table of 6 players).

See the Registration page for upcoming times.

When and Where

McPherson: Every other Saturday from 6:30-10:30pm

Manhattan: Every other Saturday from 1:30 – 6:00pm

New character creation will start 30 minutes prior for those wanting a DM’s assistance.

Costs and Equipment Required

$10 entry fee.

Bring pencils, paper, and a set of role-playing dice.

Character Creation & Leveling

Characters may be created using the standard array or point buy for assigning attributes and may use any of the character creation options available in the following:

  • Player’s Handbook (PHB)

  • Xanathar’s Guide to Everything (XGtE)

  • Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything (TCoE)

DMs helping new players create their first character will use pre-filled character sheets for each class and the Custom Lineage option found in TCoE for choosing character race.

Characters are members in good standing of the Dearborn Company, a neutral good guild of adventurers. Players are expected to role play their characters in ways that align with being a willing and productive member of the guild.

Levels are earned by players regardless of how many characters they choose to play across sessions. Leveling follows the table below and is tracked on a player attendance card given to each player at their first session.

Player Expectations

  1. Follow the code of conduct.

  2. Arrive by the posted event time ready to play or no later than thirty minutes prior to create a character.

  3. Create and roleplay characters in accordance with the guidance above.

  4. Engage in play with a spirit of collaborative storytelling, avoiding ‘lone wolf’ and ‘untrustworthy outcast’ styles of play.

  5. Communicate with other players, DMs, and the store about how the experience can be more enjoyable for you.
